According to a saga described in Kashi Khand, the Gyan Vinayak form of Lord Ganesha is included in the Ashta Pradhan Vinayak Yatra. It is believed that Lord Gyan Vinayak guards Kashi against evil forces.
As per the beliefs, Lord Gyan Vinayak saves Kashi from bad powers and devotees who worships him gets boon of wisdom and knowledge.
Temple remains open for worship from 08.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. and from 06.00 p.m. to 08.00 p.m. Aarties are held in the morning and evening
Gyan Vinayak Temple is located at Gyanvapi Premises. Local transport is available for the convenience of devotees.
