Sri Ruru Bhairav is also known as Guru Bhairav or Anand Bhairav for locals, who blesses his devotees to enhance their knowledge to lead a successful life, His Pure white appearance adorned with ornaments set with rubies shows his divine look full of abundant knowledge. Shri Ruru Bhairav carries akshmala rosary, a pustaka book on one hand of the left side and Ankusha on the other hand of the same side. On the other side, one hand contains elephant goad and the other one contains Vina lute. His consort is maaheshwari and vaahan is Ox (Rishabam). It is believed that Ruru Bhairav ​​Ji is the guardian of south-north. The seeker should chant these mantras to get the kripa of Shri Ruru Bhairav.

त्रिनेत्राम, वरदम , संथम , कुमारांचा दिगम्बरं ।
दंगम कृष्णा मृगम पथराम बिबरनाम चक्रुः पनकाम ॥
महेस्वरयायुधम देवम वृषारूढां स्मिता वाहनं ।
क्षुधा स्फटिकम सँकराम , नमामि रुरु भैरवं ॥

Ruru Bhairavar Moola Mantra

ॐ ह्रीं श्रीं कलीम श्रीं श्रीं कलीम श्रीं ।
सर्वा राजा वशिकरय सर्वा जना मोहनया।
सर्वा वैश्य शीग्राम शीग्राम श्रीं कलीम श्रीं स्वाहा ॥

Meaning: I bow down to Ruru Bhairav who can bring all people under his control. Let him bless me to win over people.

Temple Location

It is located at B.4/16, Hanuman Ghat, Varanasi. Devotees can travel upto this place in a rickshaw. Hanuman Ghat is near Harishchandra Ghat, one of the cremation grounds and is a famous place. Devotees will have to get down at Hanuman Ghat main Road and walk.

Best Time for Pooja:-

The place of worship is open from 05.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. and from 05.00 p.m. to 09.30 p.m. Aarties are conducted in the morning and evening.
