Krodhan Bhairav is known as Aadi Bhairav gives strength and courage to acquire massive achievement. He is often depicted in  idols  as Smoke in color carrying Khetaka shield, a long Khadga sword and Parashu. His consort is Vaishnavi and vaahan is Garun (Eagle). He is the guardian of south-west direction. The seeker should chant these mantras to get the kripa of Shri Krodhan Bhairav.

त्रिनेत्राम, वरदम, संथम, कुमारांचा दिगम्बरं ।
गदम शंकाम च चक्रांचा पड़ा पत्रांचा धारिणाम॥
लक्ष्म्याचा साहिठाम वामे गरुड़ासन सुस्थितम ।
नीला वर्णम महा देवम वनडे श्री क्रोध भैरवां ॥

  • I salute the angry Bhairav, who is blue and a great God,
  • Who has three eyes, blesses, peaceful, young and nude,
  • Who is armed with mace, conch, wheel, rope and a vessel,
  • Who is near Goddess Lakshmi riding on Garuda the eagle.

Krodhaan Bhairav Moola Mantra

ॐ श्रीं ह्रीं श्रीं ह्रीं क्लीम ।
सर्वा विघ्न निवारणाय महाक्रोध भैरवाय नमः ॥

Meaning: I bow down to Maha Krodhan Bairav who removes all obstacles.

Poojaries of the Temple

Mahant Vijay Puri and Acharya Shambu Saran are available near the temple premises and can be contacted at Mobile No. 9839152539 from 09.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon and from 06.00 p.m. to 09.00 p.m. According to the Mahantji, devotees contact the temple authorities for Rahu Shanti, relief from Kaal Sarp Dosh, Tantra Nivaran etc., for which Japam (repetition of a set of mantras) is being undertaken at the temple.

Temple Location

It is located at Batuk Bhairav temple at B.31/126, Kamachha, Varanasi. Devotees can reach this place in rickshaw from anywhere in Kashi as Kamachha and Batuk Bhairav are famous places. Some people say that Krodhan Bhairav is the small Bhairav located adjacent to Kamakhya Devi in the temple nearby.

Best Time for Pooja:-

The place of worship is open from 05.00 a.m. to 12.00 Noon and from 04.00 p.m. to 12.00 p.m. Aarties are conducted in the morning and evening.
