Sri Bheeshan Bhairav favors his devotees to get relief from evil spirits and negative effects to lead a peaceful and safety life. Red skinned in his idols, carrying the weapons as the Kunda, iron bludgeon, the Khetaka, club studded with iron, the Parigha iron club and Bhindipala javelin.. His consort is Chamundi and vaahan is Lion. He is the guardian of north direction. The seeker should chant these mantras to get the kripa of Shri Bheeshan Bhairav.

त्रिनेत्राम, वरदम, संथम, कुमारांचा दिगम्बरं ।
गङ्गाम सूलम कपाळांचा दारिणाम मुसलम ठाढ़ा ॥
चामुंडा शक्ति साहिठाम प्रथा वाहन सुस्थितम ।
रक्तः वर्णम महादेवम वाबदे भीषण भैरवं ॥

  • I salute the fearful Bhairav who is a great God of blood red colour,
  • Who has three eyes, blesses, peaceful, young and nude,
  • Who holds sword, trident, skull and pestle in his hand,
  • Who has with him Chamunda Shakthi and rides on a corpse.

Bheeshan Bhairav Moola Mantra

ॐ ह्रीं भीषण भैरवाय सर्व साबा निवारणाय ।
मम वशं कुरु कुरु स्वाहा॥

Meaning: I bow down to Bheeshan Bhairav who removes all curses and evil spells. May I be heled to conquer the evil spirits and negative forces.

Temple Location

Bheeshan Bhairav is located at K.63/28, Bhoot Bhairav, near Jyeshteshwar. This deity is also known as Bhoot Bhairav. Devotees can reach this place in a rickshaw through Sapt Sagar or Kashipura.

Best Time for Pooja:-

The place of worship is open from 06.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. and from 06.00 p.m. to 08.00 p.m. Timings are flexible.
